Another safe space to experience empathy and explore life together

Alison and I met through our voluntary work with adults with learning difficulties, and as we chatted, it became apparent that this voluntary work was part of a wider vision which we both shared in our professional lives: She and I both wanted to reach out to people who were experiencing some form of difficulty, and we both approached our work with the same ethos, aiming to provide clients with a safe and empathic environment where they could explore their lives. The more we spoke, the more it seemed to make sense for us to join together to provide clients with a choice of ways to experience these things, and so I am delighted to announce the birth of 3in1 Reflective Reflexology, which so ideally complements 3in1 Counselling and 3in1 Life Story Writing. Whoever you are, and whatever you are going through, Alison and I look forward to talking with you about how we might be able to help!

It may be snowy outside in Lichfield, but you can almost feel the warm glow as Don Male hands to Ruth Tinsdeall a copy of the life story written by his wife, Jan, before she died of cancer last year. “The moment I read Jan’s book, I knew I wanted to write my life story too,” says Ruth. Over the next few months, Ruth started her own writing adventure. Little did she realise that it would lead her to set up her own business, This is me, whereby she offers support to others who wish to write their life stories but are maybe unsure where to begin. As a Life Story Writing Coach with a background of teaching and using counselling concepts and skills, Ruth aims to make writing not only a creative, but also an enjoyable and sociable experience: growing stories together.
